Ridiculous app!

The way telegram binds to cell phone numbers is ridiculous. People change cell phone numbers all the time, it’s not a reliable id to use. Yet telegram completely relies on it and once your phone number is owned by other people, the new owner is completely in your shoes!!!

OTOH, it also is VERY suspicous why telegram asks for so many permissions, smells very evil. To start with, they pull the numbers off of your contacts and bind them to your telegram account immediately. WHO THE HELL TELL YOU TO DO THAT? DID YOU GET MY PERMISSION AT ALL? No, they don’t tell you that.
