I was disappointed to find that while the OS X desktop application supports private chats, which are a huge selling point for me on their website, their Windows version doesn’t. I found myself needing to share a zip file in a private chat and Telegram has no plans for a Windows Desktop version which supports private chat because “It’s just not widely requested”. Well, the other selling point was cross platform. All features are not all cross platform, so it cost a star, otherwise it’s a 5 star app, with 4 star vision.
running OSX 10.9.5 and telegram 2.10.45133 - history is regularly truncated in secret chats after 24 hours (gone! not recoverable) - calendar pop-up to history doesnt do anything.. - this has been busted since the calendar pop-up history thing was introduced several versions ago. :( also - can you add a label feature to the secret chats to differentiate different devices with same person? e.g. ABCphone, ABClaptop, ABCipad, etc. ? still a great app!
Telegram used to be really fantastic, but lately it has decided to just not bother telling me that I have new messages unless I send someone a message first.
