This app is great! The fact that it is compatible with computers and also mobile phones is perfect. However, there is one thing that bothers me and other telegram users on computer: we don’t have emojis/emoticons on the computer! Please try and add this! From a phone, the emojis/emoticons work but from a computer, none can be sent as they do not exist.

Really good app. Anyway, there is a lot of "Updating Failed" at startup and chats are not refreshed… Annoying.

Hi there, The App is frozen at the first step of the onboarding flow (click next to submit ‘Country and Phone number). I’m using the Desktop App on OS X 10.9.5. Thank you in advance for your help. Cheers, Edgar

Good app, but its not synchronizing perfectly between apps, and some chat is not showing in this version.

This is a great app, however, if you are in a secret chat and hit printscreen on the desktop app, it doesn’t say you took a screenshot. The mobile version has this protection and I would give 5 stars if the desktop had it as well.

1.80 cant open the app anymore, the only way is to erase every telegram file from the computer, turn off, on again, download again and that’s it.

The unstable times from the beginning have officially changed. this app and the entire Telegram ecosystem are absolutely fantastic. slick looking interface with lots of features. its a real joy to use. thanks for making this free!

Suddenly Telegram is randomly replacing the text I wrote with semantically different glyphs, with no way to disable this behavior. E.g. when I type “>>”, Telegram turns it into “»” (this is NOT OS X’ text substitution at work, I disabled that). This is a major nuisance. “>>” and “»” are not the same, and chevrons » are easy enough to type on OS X anyway (either directly on the keyboard, or through the character map panel). If people want substitutions they can set them up themselves in the OS X settings – don’t patronize your users! Please disable this behavior or make it an option at least.

While answering a notification telegram quotes the message shown up in the notification. Would be great if this cloud be disabled in settings.

Since the last update, the notifications don’t close. Please fix it soon.

Every time I open the app it crashes immediately. I got Mac OS 10.10.3 and my Mac is from late 2013.

PULL v2.05 for OS X !!! +++ It’s unbelievable!!! +++ Great App, great Internetsevice, using it since WhatsApp was sold to FB – BUT: With v2.05 (both, from Telegram-Website AND here NO UI-access to chats any more. Menus pop donw work, but neither, command ativation nor click, work any more.

This new messsaging system, reborn when Whatsapp was purchased by Facebook is the best Messaging system I’ve ever used. IMHO, a messaging system should be 1. Cross platform; 2. Encrypted; 3. Secure; 4; Fast; 5. Good looking. This one has it all. And the best part, there is still so much room for improvement! Brothers Durov, keep doing what you’re doing because it’s really great work! Congrats!

Glaring issue for those of us with larger monitors.

It’s a great looking app but unfortunately it has some bugs like trying to send an audio message crashes the app.

Earlier I reported a poor font choice for this program. Kudos to developers who picked a new, much, much better one for the recent update. This app is absolutely flawless, I take my hat off before you, sirs.

This is what a messenger app should be: minimal and functional. Also, 5/5 for the Interstellar references!
